Adrián Garza is Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer of mattilda, an edtech/fintech startup specialized in the education sector. Prior to founding mattilda, Adrián worked as an Investor at Arzentia Capital, a private investment firm based in Monterrey, Mexico, where he focused on companies in the education, financial services and healthcare sectors. Adrián has a degree in Economics from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Andrew has a graduate degree from Harvard University, has been an elementary, middle and high school teacher and has led three different school communities. He was College Dean and Headmaster of Westhill Institute in Mexico City, Head of School at Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador, and Superintendent at the American School of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is involved in school improvement efforts and accreditation in Cognia/AdvancED. He founded GAMUT Education, an educational services consulting firm in Latin America.
César is a lecturer, writer and teacher. He has participated in multiple events including the World Congress for the Rights of Children (Mexico) and the World Congress in Malaga. He has received many awards including the Honorary Magister Award for the Public School Platform, the José de Calasanz Cross, the highest distinction in Aragonese education, the Aragonese Environment Award 2013, and Top 50 finalist of the Global Teacher Prize (2015). He is a professor and has written several books; “Sustainable Education” being his latest publication in 2023.
Diana is a commissioned teacher at the CNAD and the winner of the National Teacher Prize 2020, and Top 10 finalist of the Global Teacher Prize 2021. She has also been considered in the Top 50 teachers who are changing Latin America by the Varkey Foundation and recognized as one of the 100 most powerful women by Forbes magazine in 2022. In addition, in 2023 she obtained the Ibero-American Synergy Woman Award. She is the founder of Scienko México and MujereSTEAMDGETI as well as a STEM ambassador for the Scientix community for science education in the European Union.
Dulce is a CONAHCYT Researcher attached to CIESAS, South Pacific. She has a PhD in Cultural Diversity and Citizenship from the Perspective of Social Anthropology from the Complutense University of Madrid, she is a member of the Mexican Council for Educational Research, A.C. and a level 1 researcher at the SNI. Her lines of research are social appropriation of ICT, higher education and gender.
Eric is the founder and CEO of Aspire Change EDU, a collaborative consultancy designed to provide personalized support to all educational systems. He was a teacher and the award-winning Principal at New Milford High School, which became a globally recognized model for innovative practices under his leadership. He has worked with thousands of schools and is considered an innovative leader, best-selling author, and sought-after speaker. His main focus is using research and evidence-based practices to empower learners and educators.
Fernando has a degree in Computer Science from the UIA and has an MBA in International Business from the University of Miami. He is a recognized leader in Latin America and a specialist in digital transformation processes. Fernando was recently listed as one of the top 100 EdTech influencers worldwide by Edtech Digest Magazine and was chosen as leader of the year 2022. He has also held relevant global executive positions throughout his 30-year professional career.
Francisco was VP of Latin America Supply Chain at Kellogg Company, where he worked for 30 years. He has lived in Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia; this and his international travels have been fundamental in his transition to social documentary filmmaking and photography. Along with her daughter Alejandra, he co-founded Home Storytellers to use multimedia storytelling as a tool for social change. He is an Executive Producer and Director, combining his experience with his Master’s Degree in Photography from the Academy of Art University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.
Mara R. Kahlo is the great-niece of Frida Kahlo and has been the President of the Kahlo Family for more than 20 years. The company is the owner of the trademark rights to the name and image of Frida Kahlo worldwide. She is President of the Kahlo Family Foundation, whose main objective is to preserve and continue Frida’s legacy. Mara de Anda, daughter of Mara R. Kahlo, has been in charge of the commercial management of the Familia Kahlo company for 15 years and belongs to the board of trustees of the Familia Kahlo Foundation.
María Soledad Ramírez-Montoya is a researcher-professor at the Institute for the Future of Education (Tecnológico de Monterrey), level III researcher at the SNI, and research groups coordinator. She is coordinator of the UNESCO and ICDE chairs: “Open educational movement for Latin America” where she mobilizes initiatives for open education. Dr. Ramírez-Montoya also trains talent for education with an emphasis on innovation and educational entrepreneurship.
Maya Middlemiss is the “Storyteller from the Future”, explaining the social impact of emerging technology. From the future of work to the future of money, Maya is committed to the creation of narratives about all the exciting changes society is embracing. She is the host of the Future is Freelance podcast, writes for a range of publications and brands, and is the author of several business books as well as a psychological thriller about bitcoin.
Nicki Slaugh is the Principal at Quest Academy Technology Charter, West Haven, Utah, and has 22 years of experience in education. She has focused on creating a positive school culture, STEM Education, the transition from a traditional focus to a more personalized competency based learning focus, using technology as a tool and how to lead with passion.
